Virtual Internship
In the month of February, FutureSense India hub continuing with our 10 weeks Virtual internship program with 4 interns from Murdoch University Australia.
The aim of this project is to conduct research and identify social injustices faced by individuals and communities in India as a means to highlight the challenges faced by specific groups such as women, LGBTQ members and those belonging to lower socio-economic positions with in Indian’s society.
For this, we have been coordinating with local partners and experts to provide the local information and knowledge to the virtual interns. As a foundation we are always looking to increase and improve our support in the communities where we work. We look forward to see what new initiative and opportunities to support communities in India come out of this project.
VASANT PANCHAMI "Celebration of yellow colour"
In the month of February, People celebrate Vasant Panchami. For many Hindus, It is the festival dedicated to goddess Saraswati who it their goddess of knowledge, language, music and all arts. This festival marks the preparation for the arrival of spring.
The colour yellow has the great significance in the celebration of Vasant Panchami as it marks the harvest time of mustard crop that has yellow bloom, which is goddess Saraswati favourite colour. On this day people wear yellow clothes and worship the goddess and preparing sweets yellow in colour.
