"I would recommend the FutureSense Global Leadership Programme as a fantastic opportunity to travel, build your CV, and develop yourself as a person. Living and working in a community for an extended period you experience it in a completely different way to if you are just a tourist. Working in Mae Sariang, Thailand for 6 months I had so many amazing experiences, made life-long friends, and it was the key piece of experience which helped me to secure a job in the international development sector. It can be hard work at times, but the FutureSense team are there to support you throughout and its more than worth it as you know you’re contributing to something that’s worthwhile.”

“In my six months interning with FutureSense Foundation I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience which would only have been possible through my complete immersion into the local community thanks to FSF. Through FSFs Global Leadership Programme I was able to make a real impact on the community, as much as they made an impact on me. The programme has made a lasting impression on my professional career and I look forward to using the skills I gained from this experience to create more positive impacts on the world.”

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with FSF and support their cause. This experience has truly changed me in many aspects of my life. Now, I see the world with more empathy, resilience, and a stronger desire to keep fighting and contributing toward the better development of vulnerable communities. I have fallen in love with the Sacred Valley, its people, its community and I feel deeply connected to them. I am also very thankful to my team for welcoming a stranger with open arms, supporting me throughout, and becoming like a family to me here. I end this experience feeling happy and fulfilled, knowing I was able to contribute my small part to the community of Urubamba.”

“The time I spent on the Global Leadership Programme was inspiring, personally and professionally. It inspired me to be more open, more willing and more positive in my outlook on life. In regards to my professional development, the GLP pushed me to be the best version of myself, through leadership, responsibility and perseverance. Helping me realise my true potential as a person. I would truely recommend to anyone who is thinking of being a part of FSF/ the GLP to just commit and don’t look back, as that’s what I did and it was the most amazingly eye-opening experience I’ve had yet.”

“To reference one of the project participants, taking part in the Global Leadership Programme was like getting a mirror into oneself. It felt like a great opportunity to reflect upon personal strengths and weaknesses but also to put into perspective the overall direction my life is going to take after the programme. For me, one thing became crystal clear – being a Global Citizen and a good leader makes you want to contribute to society in a way that fosters equal opportunity for all. Being an alumnus of this programme, I was able to become the change-maker from day one and contribute to the vision of a world that is fairer and more accessible – especially for those who are the furthest behind. With this in mind, I will continue the legacy of the Global Leadership Programme in my personal and professional endeavours by inspiring future leadership and bringing the world closer through the power of knowledge.”
