Reported by the World Health Organization, “at least half of the world’s population cannot obtain essential health services.”
Significant issues surround sanitation, a lack of resources and access to facilities.
Public health experts claim only 52% people in Nepal have access to basic hand washing facilities, similar statistics are reflected in the other countries where we work.
The impacts of these issues are vast.
The aim of our Health & Wellbeing Programme is to not only to educate about healthy behaviours and core health issues and prevention, but to also provide resources and opportunity for quality health access, to see success toward SDG 3. Good Health and Wellbeing and SDG 6. Clean Water and Sanitation. We believe positive impact is possible through the means of community workshop delivery, community health clinics for access to medical care and providing medical checks, support for emergency medical care and paramedic training, and school-based interactive health workshops.
Our Health & Wellbeing Programme includes delivery of key curriculum that surround some of the major health issues that the communities we work with are experiencing, to ensure that beneficiaries are knowledgeable about their health. The following topics are the key focus of the Health Programme and will be developed into curricula specifically focused toward children as well as the wider community:
We closely follow SDG Goals 6. Clean Water and Sanitation, 3. Good Health and Well-being, 1. No Poverty, 2. No Hunger, 10. Reduced Inequalities, 5. Gender Equality and 13. Climate Action to ensure that our health-based programmes are focused and impactful.
