The FutureSense Foundation was set up by the FutureSense Group as its charitable arm to ensure long term impact from its volunteers. Over the years and since the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the foundation has reinforced its commitment to play a role delivering to the agenda outlined by the United Nations.
With a focus on Education, Health and Livelihoods, the foundation seeks to play a part in improving the quality of education, addressing issues on gender equality, increasing access to clean water and sanitation, promoting good health and wellbeing, raising the awareness on environmental issues and the need for climate action to deliver a sustainable world where no one is left behind and there is an end to poverty and hunger.
International volunteers have played a key role in the foundation delivering its programmes to low income communities across seven countries – Cambodia, India, Nepal, Panama, Peru, Tanzania, and Thailand. Through partnerships with local community-based organisations, NGOs, government run schools and health centres, the foundation reaches around 8,000 direct beneficiaries every year and another 35,000 indirect beneficiaries. Over the years the foundation has had over 5,000 volunteers, who have contributed over 450,000 volunteer hours and helped raise over £3M to enable the foundation to do its work.
