While the country is still in a strict lockdown we have been incredibly limited in our ability to be supporting the communities we work with on the ground. This hasn’t stopped us however from connecting with our partner schools to offer support and reassurance that we are committed to working them into the future and aid in the community’s recovery in any way we can.
Neha has also been getting creative from lockdown, sewing handmade face masks for her family and friends and sharing them with her neighbours, proving that it is the small acts of kindness and innovation that can make a huge difference during this difficult time. Meanwhile we have been making the most of this time by looking to the future of the India hub and our programs.
Last week we completed the first draft of the India country strategic development plan which will guide our vision from this year onwards and set us up to grow and develop our programs, ensuring that we have the most impact that we can!
We have also been working on a new animal safety and welfare program proposal and researching how we may be able to host vetinary and animal sciences students in India to help implement this new and exciting program in our communities!
